This day — the darkest day of the Christian year — is usually marked with twilight services, somber music, and silence. And rightfully so. This is the day we remember the death of the Son of God on our behalf, remember the wrongs we’ve done that made His sacrifice necessary, remember how short we fall of God’s ideal.
Sometimes, though, it’s good to look at things from a slightly different angle. Here’s a song that tells the story of what Jesus did for us and makes it a celebration of love and victory. “My God – takes the broken and makes them whole.” From the UK, recorded by the BBC – Stuart Townend and his song My God.
