Remember when we were kids, and the above quote was one of the common excuses kids gave for not wanting to become Christians? God might tell me to do something really outlandish — like minister in another country!
No need to worry these days. The Africans are sending missionaries to us. Who would have believed it?
Here’s the latest news: Global South Primates vow to continue violating Episcopal Church boundaries
(translation for non-Episcopalians: “global south primates” means “bishops from Africa”; “vow to continue” means “promise to keep on sheltering our brothers and sisters in Christ against a corrupt church hierarchy”; “violating boundaries” means “the Episcopal Church USA doesn’t want these rebels and we’re not going to stop stealing their church buildings but they’re not in your jurisdiction so mind your own business”)
By the way — if you read the above article it will lead you to believe the main issue is over the ordination of homosexuals. It’s not. The main issue is about the top bishops in the American church denying the existence of God.
To our brothers in sisters in Africa: Thank you and Amen!
